The cheapest Christmas market day trip after Christmas 2026 is Prague from Gatwick on New Year's Eve, £65.00 return and £88.60 for the whole day. Cologne from Stansted on Monday 4 January is £97.65, with the Heumarkt market open until 10 January.
Most people think the markets shut on Christmas Eve. Plenty do. But a good handful keep going into the new year, and the days between Christmas and New Year are when a lot of us are off work with nothing much on.
So here's the week after Christmas, day by day, with a market that's still open and a day trip to it. Fares are return, per person, checked on 28 October 2026. The whole-day cost adds the transfer, lunch and dinner.
Sunday 27 December, Amsterdam
