Day Trip to Dublin From the UK: Every Airport, Cheapest First
Dublin is the cheapest day trip abroad from most UK airports. From Bristol, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle it costs £74 per person all in (a £28 Ryanair return plus about £46 on the ground), checked 18 to 19 October 2026. Birmingham and Stansted are £76.

£74. That's a whole day in Dublin from Bristol, Leeds Bradford or Newcastle in November, flights and the day on the ground, per person. No passport queue worth mentioning, no currency maths beyond the euro, and you're on Grafton Street by mid-morning.
We checked every UK airport. Here's the cheapest Dublin day from each one, cheapest first.
The cheapest Dublin day from each airport
£74: Bristol, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle
- Bristol, Wed 18 Nov: £28 return, out 08:05, back 20:55, 11.8 hours there.
- Leeds Bradford, Mon 9 Nov: £28 return, out 06:00, back 21:00, 14 hours. The longest day on this list.
- Newcastle, Wed 4 Nov: £28 return, out 08:00, back 20:30, 11.4 hours.

£76 to £77: Birmingham, Stansted, Gatwick
- Birmingham, Mon 23 Nov: £30 return, out 06:05, back 20:55, 13.7 hours.
- London Stansted, Thu 26 Nov: £30 return, out 06:45, back 20:00, 11.9 hours.
- London Gatwick, Tue 24 Nov: £31 return, out 08:50, back 19:20, 9.2 hours.
Fly out of one airport, home to another
Some of the cheapest days go out from one airport and come home to another nearby. Liverpool out, Manchester home for £74 on Thu 5 Nov. Glasgow out, Edinburgh home for £76. Cardiff out, Bristol home for £80. Worth it if someone can pick you up, not if your car's in the long stay.

What the £46 on the ground covers
Our costing for Dublin: Aircoach into the centre and back (£10), local transport (£5), lunch (£12), dinner (£19) and a pint or a coffee (£6). Trinity's Front Square, St Stephen's Green and a walk along the Liffey cost nothing. The Book of Kells and Guinness Storehouse are extra.
Is a day enough?
For the centre, yes. Dublin is small and flat. Temple Bar, Trinity, Grafton Street, the Ha'penny Bridge and a pub lunch fit comfortably into 10 hours. What doesn't fit is anything outside the city: Howth, Malahide or the Wicklow Mountains need another day.
Our pick: Leeds Bradford on a Monday. 14 hours in Dublin for £74 is about as good as a day trip gets.
All prices are real fares for that exact date, checked 16 to 19 October 2026, plus BudgetBro's day cost for Dublin. Fares move daily, so check the trip page before you book. Search Dublin day trips from your airport.
