Jet2 Christmas Markets 2026: Which of the 9 Cities Work as a Day Trip
Jet2's 2026/27 Christmas markets programme covers 9 cities: Berlin, Budapest, Cologne, Copenhagen, Gdańsk, Kraków, Prague, Tallinn and Vienna. As day trips with flights under £100, only Gdańsk, Kraków and Berlin worked when we checked on 5 October, and none of those flights were Jet2.

That's how many of Jet2's Christmas market cities you can do in a day from the UK with flights under £100. We checked every one on Google Flights on 5 October. Here's what works, what nearly does, and what doesn't.
Jet2 Christmas markets 2026: the 9 cities
Berlin, Budapest, Cologne, Copenhagen, Gdańsk, Kraków, Prague, Tallinn and Vienna. Jet2 and Jet2CityBreaks run the Christmas markets programme from November 2026 to January 2027, from 12 UK airports, Belfast International to Stansted.
You might have seen 15 in the headlines. That's Jet2's total of city break destinations for the winter. The Christmas markets are 9 of them.
One thing before the list. Jet2CityBreaks sells these as short breaks with a hotel. None of the day trips below are on Jet2. They're Ryanair and easyJet.
The three that work
Gdańsk. Stansted on Tuesday 1 December, Ryanair, £57 return. Out at 07:55, home flight at 20:05, about 6.1 hours in the city. The market runs 20 November to 23 December on Targ Węglowy. Best value of the nine by a mile. Every Gdańsk market day, costed.
Gdańsk on Tue 1 Dec: today's price and times
Kraków. Luton on Saturday 28 November, Ryanair, £91 return. Out at 06:05, in Kraków at 09:30, and 8.3 hours in the city. Kraków hasn't announced its 2026 market dates yet, so check before you book. Our Kraków day, costed.
Kraków on Sat 28 Nov: today's price and times
Berlin. Gatwick on Tuesday 1 December, easyJet, £79 return. Out at 07:45, in at 10:40, 7.9 hours in the city. Berlin's big markets open on 23 November, so they're all going by then. Five Berlin markets in one day.

The two that nearly made it
Vienna. Stansted on Saturday 28 November had a £95 return, but it leaves at 15:00, which is no use for a day. The morning flight, out at 06:10, was £106.
Prague. £107 from Stansted on Monday 30 November, and £115 from Manchester on Saturday 5 December. Close. Worth watching, Prague's big markets open on 28 November and run into January.
The four that don't
Cologne. £135 from Stansted on Monday 23 November, opening day. Over budget.
Copenhagen. Same-day trips exist, but the whole day came out at £166 or more on every date we tried on our trip pages.
Budapest. The only same-day return we found, from Manchester on Saturday 5 December, gives you 2.5 hours in the city. That's not a day trip, that's a long lunch.
Tallinn. No same-day return from the UK on our board at all.
So should you just book the Jet2 break?
If you want more than a day of markets, or a proper bed between mulled wines, a Jet2 break makes sense. If you've got one free day and about £100 for flights, it's those first three.
