Nothing would tell us what the day cost, so we built the thing that does.
We are Josh and Samar. Day Trips is the two of us, not a travel company.
Why this exists
Josh is passionate about budget travel. Samar is passionate about knowing everything. Put that alongside our budgeting app, BudgetBro, and something that gives you accountant level pricing on a day out was an obvious fit.
It is also a tool we wanted for ourselves, because we want to see more of Europe. That is where Day Trips came from.
Who we are
Joshua Rawlinson
Founder
Josh has spent over ten years starting and running businesses. After backpacking through Southeast Asia, South America and Europe with no app that tracked money the way travellers spend it, he built one.

Samar Sheila
Co-Founder
Samar runs research, outreach and community. She keeps BudgetBro close to the travellers who use it and looks after the partners we work with.

How this is paid for
Browsing is free. The full costed day is a subscription, and that subscription is what pays for building this. What it costs is on the pricing page, with a 14 day refund.
Where we link out to an airline or a booking site, some of those links earn us a commission on what you book.
Search opens at launch. Until then the pricing page marks anything that is built but not switched on as “At launch” rather than ticking it, because a tick on a page asking you for money is a promise.
