Carnaval de Barranquilla

One of the world's biggest carnivals: folkloric parades, cumbia and colour on Colombia's coast.

Carnaval de Barranquilla is one of the largest carnivals in the world and a UNESCO-recognised masterpiece of folklore. For four days before Lent the Colombian coast erupts into parades, cumbia, costumes and street dancing, led by the famous Batalla de Flores.
