India replaces paper forms with e-Arrival Card from 1st April, 2026

From the 1st of April, 2026, paper arrival forms have been discontinued, and the new online e-arrival card is mandatory.
India has followed many countries who have recently switched from paper forms to electronic arrival processes in order to streamline and speed up immigration controls.
The online e-arrival card can be completed up to 72 hours before you arrive. You should complete the online process in advance to avoid delays at the airport.
You can complete the e-arrival either on the Indian Visa Online website, or through the Su-Swagatam mobile app. We recommend completing it on the website though, as it is much more straight forward than using the app.
If you have any questions about the e-Arrival form, you can contact the government email address:
Be careful of copycat websites. Only use the official Indian Visa website above. (the domain ends in gov.in)
